Rare pair of Sheraton revival satin wood and inlaid marble top console tables. Demilune shaped intricately inlaid pietra dura marble top surface with Neoclassical inspired green covered urns and garlands makes these console table unique. Painted frieze in the same designs of Neoclassical green urns and garlands, supported on four square tapered legs ending in a simple rectangular spade foot.

Pietra dura was the delicate process of highly skilled stonemasons creating inlaid designs in marble.

The Sheraton style was the English version of Neoclassical style in France of the same period, rejecting elaborate and ornate Rococo design, celebrating ancient Greco-Roman style and unadorned geometric forms.
